Today I learned about Rosie the Riveter, she was a simble for women to work in factories. Bengerman David strated the air force. Today we had a fun Friday , I went to the gym and played capture the flag ( wich was a ball.) My friend danced everywere and it was funny he he.

We learned about the axis countries and allied countries. The allied countries were Britian and France and The U.S. The axis countries were Italy,Germany,Russia and Japan. We learned about the leaders too. The dictators were Mussolini,Hitler,Tojo and Stalin. The good people were Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt. All these people were part of World War II.

the worst of the dust bowl

to day we had lots of tests.we are reading a book called days of the dust bowl.It is adout a family during the dust bowl .we leaned about oxygen tents .they help people with dust pneumonia breath better because they had dust in their lungs.we are having competition with other class too see who gets more A.R pionts .are class is losing .we turnd are homework 2 days in a row but two kids did not turn in thier homework so we are back too 0.to day was a good day.

this is what i learned

today i learned what physical and chimecal changes are. physical chages are stuff like cuting paper . chimecal changes are stuff like melting ice. i also learned about liters, killoliters, hectaliters, and dekaliters. another i learned is that 16 oz in one pound, i never really knew that. hp

Today we learned that salt and vinegar is the best way to clean a penny. Before we cleaned the penny it looked old and rusty.And we mixed the salt and vinegar and we leted set there for a sec then we rubed it to dry it off then we used baking soda and water it didn't work so thats all.

Today we learned about gallons,quarts,pints,cups,and fluid ounces(fl oz). Mr.Boyers made a huge mistake it turns out,there are two pints in one quart. Mr.Boyers thought that there were four pints in a quart, so that mistake messed us up for cups too.

stander and metric system

Today in my class we learned about the metric and the standerd system.some of ther metric system is millimeters ,centimeters and kilograms. the standerd system is inches,feet,yard and miles. in social studies we are learning about the great deppresion and some of the famous people like Duke Ellengton,Margret Mitchelle and Jesse Owens.Today in the morning we watched a movie called Sounder . Today was a great day!!:)

Today I learned about the metric system. I learned about millimeters, kilometers, centimeters, meters. I made a pamphlet that had an example of each type of measurement. For millimeters I had a the width of pencil lead, for centimeters I had the width of a pencil, for meters I had the width of a table, and for kilometers I had the height of a mountain.

This morning mr boyers tricked our class. He brought in a bunch of cookies and we thought we were going to eat them. He told us that we couldn't have any because we had to bring our homework in and get our agenda signed. If we do this for 10 days in a row we'll get cookies. He even placed cookies on our desk and said that we couldn't touch them. It made some people upset because we couldn't eat the cookies! I hope people get their homework done and their agenda signed tonight!

We have been learning about standerd and metric,in math.Our class has been learning about rulers and yard sticks.There are alot of metric stuff to learn like:MM,CM,M,andKM.Our class has also been learning about different kinds of colons.Our class has also done a activity on math about a the metric system and the standerd.We colored and made pictures of objects that described the metric system.We are having all sorts of fun in our class!

The Great Depression

Today I learned about the five new deal programs in social studies:AAA,CCC,WPA,SSB,and the TVA. I learned about Dorthea Lange she was a women that took pictures of people that lost there homes during the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl.In math we made a small flip paper. We had to find things that were small:inches,feet,yards,and miles.I had a great day.

An o.k day

Today was an o.k. day i had fun and learnd that the CCC and the AAA r not the same thing.and math was o.k. too but its just not my thing learning about in. and ft. i dont realy like it but im good @it

In s.s we are learning about the Great Depression. How president Hover was president when the stock market crash in 1929. We stood up and made hover flags with our pockets and I had change in my pocket when we where talking about how know one had change in their pockets. We were thinking about making hover towns in our classroom. We were taking a math test using protractors to draw circle graphs and at first i thought it was very hard. After spending some time thinking i remembered how to do it and it wasn't very hard.

what i learned

Today in my class i learned how to make a circle graph the correct way .It was pretty hard at first because if you make one small mistake you mess up the whole thing but then i got the hang of it . Then you have to start all over.Another thing that i learned today was the great depression and how it effected other peoples lives and how it efected the economy.We watched a movie called Grapes of Wrath. It was a fun day.

Circle Graphs

Today I finally got how to do a circle graph. It was very easy, once you got the hang of it. Mr.Boyers also said that we would be doing our Hannah Montana project in a week or so. I also got the hang of changing fractions to a degrees. All you had to do was divide the denomonator into 360 degrees.

Burnin Up

I learned how to use a protractor corectly, and it was hard. The protracter is half a circle that goes up to 180 degres.I also learnd how you multiply decimals with reagular numbers. Im also starting to understand math. Yesterday we did a Jonas Brother project, were we sang about the thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen amendments. It also has the beat to Burnin Up.It was awsome, athogh some people looked borde to death.Mr. Boyers got us hypered up when he said witchever side, either the North or South did the best they would get 100 or 200 boyers bucks, maybe the whole class. Boyers bucks are fake money that we could earn for being good. We can lose boyers bucks by being bad.

The WOW things I learned today

This Blog will show what we have learned each day. It can also state something funny or cool that happened.


I learned that a degrees in a circle graph must be perfect to get the right percent.I also learned that when you write you must have a problem to catch the readers mind.You also must have a WOW ending [state something impossible] to WOW the reader.

Tomorrow we will shoot a music video after school. Its going to a Social Studies remix of the Jonas Brothers song burnin up. We will have posters to discribe the amedments , and the war between the North and South. We will also have oppsite colored shirts to rep. the north and the south .
